2001 Porsche Boxster S 3.2 Manual
Here we have an absolutely brilliant example of a modern classic that is rapidly ticking every investment box The 2001 Porsche Boxster S 3.2. While a contemporary Porsche isn't our usual stock at Hardy Classics, this particular car was purchased directly from a close personal friend whose attention to detail borders on the obsessive. He is the type of owner who doesn't just clean the wheels; he removes them to clean the back of the rims and scrubs the tyre tread. Showing an incredibly low 28,883 miles from new, backed up by an exceptionally comprehensive service file, this six-speed manual "S" model represents a highly desirable future classic.
Finished in the stunning and rare factory special-order shade of Orient Red Metallic over an immaculate Savannah Leather interior, this car drives exactly as a low-mileage Porsche should. It is an honest, beautifully preserved open-top sports car ready for the weekend or a collection.
Exterior & Interior Condition
We would comfortably rate the overall bodywork and paint at a very honest 9 out of 10. Being a 25-year-old classic, it has lived a genuine life, meaning you will find a couple of very minor touched-up stone chips upon close inspection. Crucially, the front headlamps are beautifully crystal clear—a rare sight on a car of this era. The factory alloy wheels are entirely unscratched, the tyres carry excellent tread, and the original red brake calipers still proudly show their crisp white "Porsche" script.
Inside, the cabin stands out spectacularly. The Savannah leather seats show almost zero wear, reflecting the incredibly gentle use this car has enjoyed. The body-coloured roll bars frame the cabin beautifully. A modern head unit has been neatly fitted for usability, but the original factory Porsche radio has been carefully preserved in a box and sits in the boot.
Mechanicals & History File
Under the rear deck lies the potent 3.2-litre flat-six engine mated to the desirable 6-speed manual gearbox. Mechanically, the car runs incredibly sweet, pulling beautifully through the gears with that unmistakable Porsche soundtrack.
The history file accompanying this Boxster is one of the most comprehensive and detailed we have ever seen. It includes the original purchase document from its early life (showing an original secondhand sale invoice for over £31,000), dual remote keys, complete original handbooks, and a meticulously organized stack of service invoices and historical MOTs tracking the mileage carefully across its lifetime. It has been maintained with zero regard for cost.
